Special Edition: Nia in NYC!

NIA IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

As announced, Nia took her parents to the USA, her other homeland, to finally meet the rest of her family and take over the streets of NYC.
The way there was long but Nia didn't mind. She had a comfy bed on the plane, and Tante Edda in the crew to spoil her.

First we went to Connecticut to spend some time with Grandma, Uncle Troy, and cousins.

In New Haven Nia also went to Yale University - yes, she is extremely smart - and the Green to enjoy spring.

Nia also went to Chuck E Cheese, a very American indoor playground.

Then we went to New York City. How exciting! Her favorite place was Times Square. Of course. All those lights and people.

We think she loved everything about New York. All the friendly people, shopping, the general noise and excitement level, the colorful environment...
And Nia was very active. She walked around and went shopping with Grandma, Troy, and Annette.

Nia went to Central Park with Sharon and Lila. There she rode the carousel with Papa, ate her first hot dog, and listened to live music.

Nia went to FAO Schwartz, the coolest and biggest toy shop ever. She played the big piano.

She saw the mighty Empire State Building. It didn't impress her much.

And she walked around in Grand Central Station.

And Nia hung out with a lot of friends.
Uncle Joe.

Stefan, who freaked Nia out at first, but then gave her a drawing lesson.

And a lot of other friends.

Coming back to Vienna wasn't easy, but at least spring was in full bloom already. Finally Nia can enjoy the outdoors WITHOUT hats and gloves, and furbags, and thick jackets.

Look, how active we have been since out return!

Nia went hiking in the Wienerwald.

We took Nia to Prater, Vienna's funfair. She loved it.

Nia went to Schönbrunn Park and Zoo with her best friend Sophia.

Nia is also becoming really independent. She is such a big girl. She is starting to eat by herself. Well, she's trying to.

She also tries to file her toenails.

Nia is also the queen of the sandbox.

And, being Papa's girl, Nia has discovered art. She loves drawing and painting.
Here she is at work.

One thing has not changed. Nia LOVES water. Especially running water.
