Nia is 15 months old!

15 months!!!

It's time for another update! 3 months have gone by, and Nia has grown a lot, and is learning new things every day....
She is definitely no baby any more :( She is officially a toddler now.


She has become a walking pro. Actually she has turned into a runner. We let her walk outside already, i.e. to the playground and the supermarket. We have to be really watchful though, she is a good sprinter, and loves chasing pigeons and dogs.







She still only has 2 teeth, which we brush twice a day.


Favourite hobbies are the whirliwig.....




... climbing around under the table....


...being dragged on a big sheet...


... and going for a swim...


Nia is also starting to talk REAL words: Her vocabulary so far includes Mama, Papa, Edda, nein (= no), wa wa (= wuff wuff = dog), Ongugu (the name of one of her favourite toys), computer (~utahhh), halloooooooo, mein/mine and her first English word apple (which is also her favourite fruit).


In January Nia was also hospitalized for the first time. She had a bad stomach virus and was dehydrated. So she had to get infusions in the Children's hospital. She was a brave girl and took it in stride.


In January Nia also became witness to a very important event. She watched Obama's inauguration on CNN live and loved it.



This year she also started her modelling career. Check out some highlights from fashion shows. Papa is her agent and designer.


Nia spent a lot of time with Liam as well.

Nia also has a new friend. Uma finally arrived from India! Congrats to P, M, and N!


So much action and fun makes tired of course. This is Nia aka Linus with her cuddlesheet. When she gets tired, she starts dragging it around, rubbing it against her cheek, and lying on top of it on the floor. She never goes to sleep without it and hugs it closely all night.


By the way, Nia is gearing up and preparing for her first trip across the Atlantic in April. She is climbing in and out of her suitcase already, and packing her stuff (her baby called Baby and her monkey Emily). She will finally meet Grandma, other family members, and so many friends. And she will take over the streets of NYC. So you better watch out!
